Neighbor To Neighbor

Colorado State University (CSU) Off-Campus Life has partnered with Neighbor to Neighbor (N2N), a non-profit housing resource organization aiding Larimer County residents in the pursuit of stable housing.  This new partnership will provide housing counseling services to CSU faculty and staff in the areas of: Rental Housing Search Assistance, HomeShare (a matching service between renters and homeowners), Emergency Rent Assistance, and First Month’s Rent Assistance. The N2N Housing Solutions Coordinator will also serve as an access point for homeownership programs such Homebuyer Education, Home Purchase Advising, Foreclosure Prevention Counseling and Reverse Mortgage Counseling.

One hour, one-on-one, housing counseling sessions take place at the CSU Off-Campus Life office by appointment only Monday – Friday between 9am-3pm. Off-Campus Life is located in the Lory Student Center, room 274 and can be reached at 970-491-2248.

Programs and qualifications:

Housing Search Assistance: Neighbor to Neighbor provides this assistance to individuals and families striving to find a rental to call home. A Housing Search Assistance session will provide the household with the tools and advice to help identify that affordable rental. For further information click here.

Emergency Rent Assistance: The ultimate goal of this service is to improve the housing stability, economic health and security of people at imminent risk of homelessness. Neighbor to Neighbor's Housing Counselors will help develop a personalized plan to overcome an immediate housing crisis and achieve housing stability. For further information click here.

First Month's Rent Assistance: Neighbor to Neighbor's First Month's Rent Assistance Program assists homeless and near homeless households attain affordable, sustainable housing. Neighbor to Neighbor may be able to assist with up to $500 toward your first month's rent. Once all documentation has been submitted and reviewed by a Neighbor to Neighbor Housing Counselor, the client will complete a housing counseling session (in-person or online) focused on renters’ rights & responsibilities, understanding the terms of a lease, local resources, and financial coaching. HomeShare- A Housing Matching Service: Are you looking for a housemate?
