History

Off-Campus Life began in the late '70s as a part of Housing and Dining Services (a bulletin board of housing notices). It eventually became a student organization housed within ASCSU called “Renter’s Information.” The office moved to The Cave in the LSC in the mid '80s and expanded responsibilities of helping students move off campus; hence a name change to Off-Campus Student Services.  Following the flood of 1997, the office temporarily moved upstairs and eventually returned to the newly remodeled lower level.  The LSC underwent organizational restructuring, resulting in a move to room 195 above the Transit Center. In the summer of 2009, Off-Campus Student Services/Resources For Adult Learners split, creating "Off-Campus Life," which is the name of the office today. In August 2010, Off-Campus Life moved to a new location along the main thoroughfare of the LSC, room 142. We are now directly in the hub of activity!
